Senior Citizen Trip to Capitol

On Saturday, November 26, 2005 Vice President Chin hosted a successful trip for over sixty senior citizens to tour the east Compact Road, the Capitol building in Melekeok and Ngirngemelas Square in Ngiwal. Henaro Antonio, announcer at the lunch at Bai Lechesau in Melekeok, spoke about the importance of the trip. He paraphrased the Vice President, addressing a group of the nation's elderly, "Sel mouteliil ra chelsel a Capitol, aikel telemiu a klengeltengat el mo medechel er sei, meng mo sebechel lolengeseu ra rokiu el menguteling er Belau el mo oureor ra chelsel, el mo mengedmokl a klungioled, kid mar telecheroll el merael mei."

Everyone enjoyed the trip, from the senior citizens, to volunteers from the Vice President's Office, Ministry of Justice, NEMO, and L.E.E.P. The main complaint from the senior citizens was that they wished they had more time to see more of Babeldaob.
